Top Albums of 2021

 This last has been in the works for a while, and actually complete for a while, but between moving last week and just not doing it, it's now pushed into 2022. I meant to post it yesterday, and then didn't. Whoops!

Anyway, 2021 was kind of shit, but not as bad as 2020. Overall good things though. Left a toxic job, had 6 months off, started a new job, got to see my parents, got to travel within Australia quite a bit. Many good things, when I think about it. And also good music, which is what we're all here for. 

This year I made a list of 20 albums, not 10. And I of course have a Spotify playlist for them. I also started a new playlist of all the albums I listened to and enjoyed in 2021. I started it quite late, so it's missing a lot from earlier in the year, but many good albums there. I'll link both at the bottom.

But back to the top 20. This year was hard to choose. I kept moving things around a lot. Like an album would be number 15 and then the next week number 6 and then back to 12. But in the end I think I'm happy with the order I picked. Who knows. Maybe not. The moral of the story is they are all wonderful albums that you should listen to over and over. So here we go.

Top Albums of 2020

My first post all year! That's because I decided not to keep writing a blog, and I'm kind of glad I did. It had gotten to the point where it was a chore, more than something enjoyable. But I can't not post my top albums, right?

2020 did suck major balls. Probably the worst year of my life, for many reasons. But at least the music has been good. So good, in fact, that I am not doing a Top 10. I am doing a Top 23. Because it's 2020 and none of the rules matter anymore and so fuck it. It's actually been done for like 2 weeks now, but then I was waiting for one more blog I follow to release their list just in case I missed something (I hadn't), and then just didn't do it. Whoops. But anyway, now counting down from number 23....

Dec 23 - Top 10 Albums of 2019

So this may be my last blog post. At least until this time next year. I'll keep doing this one. But I'm just gonna start adding songs I like to a playlist next year instead of putting them onto a blog. So expect the music to keep going, but you'll just have to follow me on Spotify. So until next year, enjoy these 10 albums! Which are also on Spotify on a playlist, along with a bunch of other albums that I left on the playlist that I was also considering putting into my top 10.

I feel like a few of these surprised me. I do always like to add in something nobody has ever heard of that I fell in love with (see #6). And There's a couple of surprises for me since they're artists I thought were just ok until this newest album (see #8 and #5). But then there's also just some great albums that were either incredible, or which I just couldn't stop listening to, or both. Generally both, if you ask me.
